Swapnopuron Welfare Society (SWS) began its journey in 2012 with a specific goal of child & women development. The area they selected was village Katakhali, Hingalganj which is located along the tranquil bank of river Ichhamoti in the district of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. A Non-Government organisation created by a group of open-minded, enthusiastic, dedicated professionals like educationists, Social Scientists, Women Activists etc.

The organization aspires to improve the living conditions of deprived and disadvantaged people especially children, women and youth by adopting strategies through community initiatives and participation and sensitization in the areas of Child Education, Child Protection and Child Rights. Community Sensitization has been taken as the base for all interventions.
